Coyotes' Shane Doan To Miss Tonight's Game Against Wings
Phoenix coach Dave Tippett confirmed that captain Shane Doan (upper body injury) will not play against the Red Wings in Game 4 Tuesday night.
"He's better, but he's not going to play," Tippett said. "We have two days before the next game and we feel like it's best to wait."
Vernon Fiddler will replace Doan in the lineup. Tippett said he wasn't sure how he would reconfigure his lines, though he said Lee Stempniak, who replaced Doan in Game 3, has played well with Matthew Lombardi and Wojtek Wolski in the past.
"Shane was pretty upset at first," Tippett said. "But I think his spirits are good. Everything is fine. He can rest tonight and be ready to jump back in on Friday."
