That Young Man Is All Grown Up...
I don't know if the Wings are going to win this series (although I did predict "Detroit in Six" on the air -- and changed my mind off the air about ten times -- but no one needs to know that -- am I still writing in this same set of parenthesis? -- yes I am -- I need to cut this out -- do you think anyone is still reading this?)
But I digress.
The most important thing to come out of Tuesday nights Game 4, 3-0 shut out win was the play of Jimmy Howard. Not only did he bounce back, but he appeared to get a bit of a swagger (...like buttered toast -- I hope you listen to the show -- if you don't, you won't get that -- am I doing it again?). After unquestionably playing poorly in Game 3, Howard bounced back big time in Game 4. That shows a mental toughness necessary to be successful in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Jimmy Howard passed a test Tuesday night. There are more tests to come. But after this marking period I give the young netminder an A.
And one more thing ... JINX WALL!
