Michigan Ready To Announce Self-Imposed Penalties In NCAA Case

Michigan will publicly release its response to NCAA allegations of major football rules violations -- and announce self-imposed penalties -- next week.

Athletic director David Brandon says the report will be sent to the NCAA on May 24 and made public the following day.
"We want there to be total transparency," Brandon said to espn.com on Monday at the Big Ten spring meetings of coaches and ADs. "Within 24 hours after the material has been delivered to the (Committee on Infractions), we're going to make them available to the general public. You'll have the responses, you'll have the self-imposed penalties, sanctions, that we believe are appropriate."
