Tigers Cut Adam Everett; Call Up SS Danny Worth
Tigers officials have decided they can't wait any longer for the bottom third of the batting order to shake its season-long lethargy.On Saturday, manager Jim Leyland said catcher Alex Avila would begin to play more in the No. 8 spot over Gerald Laird. After today's game, Leyland announced the club was letting go shortstop Adam Everett and calling up Danny Worth from Triple-A Toledo to replace him.
