The Original 'Oz' Online
The Wizard of Oz is one of the true classic American stories, with the movie and stage versions overshadowing the original novel by Frank Baum.
To help change this imbalance, the Library of Congress has created a website on the book, originally published in 1900, to showcase both the writing and artwork found in the book.
Not that the website neglects the movie – it has photographs of the filming, as well as movie posters for the famous 1939 film.
For those interested in collectables, the website also features an array of objects based on the book and movie, from posters to checks drawn from "the Royal Bank of Oz".
