Poetry for Summer Vacation
This summer, make sure your child keeps reading and writing, as these skills can decline over the summer months.
A fun way to keep writing is to do "I am from" poems, in which kids write about what has mattered to them the most in life.
Each line begins with the words "I am from..." and then kids can add information about their family, their home, their town, and their interests.
There is no way to do the poem wrong, and kids can be very creative in what they believe is important to them.
