Firecrews were cleaning up Thursday afternoon in Southwest Detroit, after a house explosion. Investigators said they think there may have been a problem with a gas line, but that’s only preliminary.
WWJ Newsradio 950′s Florence Walton spoke with a neighbor, Patricia Green, who was was briefly evacuated from her home following the explosion at a house across the street – on Edsel near I-75 and Schaefer.
“I was coming back from the kitchen, and then I heard it — the big boom. I thought it was trust that hit something,” Green said.
“And my son, he was sittin’ out on the porch, and it knocked him back,” she said.
There were no injuries reported.
