Shooting at Royal Oak Home

It’s an eerie and bizarre night for Patricia Sawdon.

She lives right next to the shooting victim’s home on Ardmore Avenue near Girard.

Sawdon wasn’t home when the incident occurred, but says the victim, a man in his 50’s, is a videographer. She says he’s always willing to lend a helping hand.

“If ever our A/C was out, he’d always ask me to come over.”

Sawdon says in the days leadin up to the incident, there was nothing suspicious going on at the residence.

“He was always coming and going as usual,” Sawdon said. “I didn’t notice anything out of the norm,” she added.

Sawdon says she is very afraid for her safety tonight — and plans to take extra precautions.

Meanwhile, police continue to investigate the incident. The shooting victim was sent to the hospital. Stay with WWJ as we continue to learn more on this developing story.
