Royal Oak CEO Shot, Police Seek Witnesses
Royal Oak Police said a 53-year-old man was fatally shot in the driveway of his home near 13 Mile and Campbell in Royal Oak Tuesday.The victim, Gary Harmon Lupiloff, CEO of Screen Source Media in Royal Oak, was shot in the 2700 block of Ardmore Street at 3 p.m.
"We received a 911 call from a person saying they heard a gun shot," said Royal Oak Police Lieutenant Gordon Young. "This person went outside of the driveway and noticed that a friend of theirs was lying down... and that person did see some blood," Young said.
Lupiloff was taken to William Beaumont Hospital where he was pronounced dead from a single gunshot wound to the chest.
Royal Oak Police said investigators would like to speak to a possible witness seen in the area when the shooting occurred.
"There is a report that there was a person on a bicycle... and we're hoping to get into contact with that person, because that person might have some more information for us," Young said.
Young said if you believe you saw something out of the ordinary, around that time frame, a day or week before, Royal Police would like to hear from you.
