Chairs, flags, collectibles and other sports items from Comerica Park and Joe Louis Arena will sold in a public garage sale in downtown Detroit.  There is also a garage sale in Royal Oak.

Part of the proceeds from Saturday’s event at Comerica Park will benefit the foundations of the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings. It runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Included on the sale list are Tiger Den chairs, original baseball bat door handles, couches from the baseball team’s clubhouse, Olympia Stadium folding chairs, and discounted baseball and hockey apparel.

Meantime, the Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce is holding the 35th annual Antique and Garage Sale this weekend at the Lafayette and Sixth Street parking structure.

The event runs Saturday, July 17, 9:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Admission is $2.00 for guests 12 and over.

There are nearly 200 vendors who will be selling antiques, jewelry, vintage items, sports memorabilia, clothing and much more. Additionally, downtown Royal Oak retailers will be conducting their annual sidewalk sales.
