A Detroit man who led police on a chase through several suburban cities is due to be arraigned today on several charges.
The 26-year-old suspect allegedly broke into a home on Bonnie View Street in Royal Oak early Saturday and told the homeowner he’d kill her if she moved and then stole her SUV.
The chase started near 11 Mile and Woodward. It ended near 9 Mile and Southfield when the suspect got out and ran into a swampy area. He was captured with the help of a K-9 unit.
Some residents who live in the Royal Oak area told WWJ’s Mike Campbell they aren’t overly concerned, others are considering a home alarm.
