A big boost for the City of Troy and Michigan’s high tech future. A long-time business is ready to make another big investment.
That business is Arvin Meritor. It’ll be investing $23 million over the next five years to expand its advanced technologies capabilities at its technical center in Troy. The project is expected to create 125 jobs at the company by 2014.
The heavy truck supplier says its moving ahead and investing in advanced technologies that are focused on several different areas, including fuel efficiency and next generation brake technology. This is one of 15 projects winning tax credits from the state — $2.2 million in tax credits over seven years.
