Art Van Furniture will be holding a company-wide career fair at all 31 of their Michigan outlets Thursday, looking to fill 150 full-time positions.

David Van is the senior director of merchandising for the Michigan-based retailer, and the youngest of ten children born to store founder Art Van.

“Kind of, our mantra is we’ve decided not to participate in the recession…Business has been great this year for us. And, that’s the reason that we have plenty of opportunities,” Van said.

Van tells WWJ the openings include store manager and sales associate positions, and other company support staff.

The career fairs run from 5:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at all Art Van locations.

Van said interviews will be informal, but do bring your resume if you have one.
