EcoStore USA To Celebrate Grand Opening With Partner

On Thursday, July 29, the eco-world got a new reason to celebrate -- right in Michigan.

EcoStore USA, a manufacturer of environmentally friendly household cleaning and baby products, and its new manufacturing acquisition, GreenBlendz Inc., celebrated the grand opening and ribbon-cutting event in Auburn Hills.

"GreenBlendz was created to fill the need for a manufacturing partner truly committed to brands like EcoStore USA that don't want just another chemical plant making their product," said Steve Berry, general manager of GreenBlendz.

As part of the initiative, GreenBlendz's new Web site, www.greenblendz.com, has gone live. The site was designed by FWD, a design firm in Royal Oak. (More at www.designfwd.com.)

"We can't wait to kick this off," said Lyne Appel Downing, vice president of operations for EcoStore USA. "It's great news for eco-consumers, eco-retailers and the state of Michigan itself."

EcoStore products manufactured in Michigan include plant- and mineral- based Liquid Laundry, Citrus All Purpose Cleaner, Pure Oxygen Whitener, Liquid Dish, Baby Moisturizer, Baby Sleepy Time Bath, Baby Body Wash, Baby Nappy Balm.

The 2010 opening is part of an aggressive investment strategy in both people and the planet. More than $2.5 million investor dollars have been poured into the new Auburn Hills plant in recent months. Last December, EcoStore USA purchased GreenBlendz, a specialty manufacturing company, which has been completely renovated to become the new location of EcoStore's manufacturing operations as well as EcoStore USA's Michigan home base.

The grand opening means adding 35 new jobs as well as increased production of life-enhancing EcoStore USA products. As it expands its operations over the next five years, EcoStore USA expects to employ 50 people.
