TIGER HOPES CONTINUE TO FADE

I had hoped somehow the Tigers other players would respond to the injury adversity and pick up their performance. But it hasn’t happened and now it looks like barring a miracle, the Tigs are in danger of falling by the wayside. In a recent conversation with  Dan Dickerson, I told him I was afraid other teams would no longer pitch to Miguel Cabrerra because he had no protection in the line up. I was told too much was made of that thought and he should be just fine. However, the series in Tampa Bay seemed to prove I was right. Why let Cabrerra beat you???? Simply pitch around him, or walk him althougher and take your chances of other hitters. Don’t get me wrong..I don’t think the Tigers aren’t trying…in fact, it’s just the opposite. The young players are working hard and hustling, but like in 2003, they are simply overmatched at this point in their careers.

I actually like it, although its not what the skipper wants,… ever! all of us know – adversity. now, its up to these fine young men to rise up and do what there capable of, and get past the judgment, looks, and just go out and play. Actually how much time do those players that are sidelined have left. weve lost alot of good players in the past due to , ( i think) expirence, in trades. just the other night, the Rays beat us with our own ex-players. it wont be grand, just hope were able to stay above .500 . i bet the new restricted ( unproven) area near the skippers room is filled with butts from the Lucky Strikes.
