SVSU Ranks As Least Expensive In Mich.

Saginaw Valley State University remains the least expensive of Michigan's 15 public universities.

Saginaw Valley State raised tuition by nearly six-percent this year - one of the largest increases of any Michigan university - but The Saginaw News reports its overall tuition rate of $7,300 is nearly $800 a year less than the state's second least expensive, Northern Michigan University.

The report said Michigan Technological University overtook the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor as the state's most expensive university.

Western Michigan University had the highest increase at nearly seven-percent.
