New Tech Schools Open In Michigan

This fall, new schools will open across Michigan to take advantage of new technologies in education. At the high school level, a series of "New Tech" high schools will open, which engage students in project based learning using laptops and other forms of technology.

New Tech High in Ypsilanti has already enrolled over 100 students for the fall, and will expand in the coming years. Other technology-rich options for the fall include Widening Advancement for Youth, a Washtenaw county part online school for students in danger of dropping out of high school, headquartered this fall at Stone School, Ann Arbor.  Ask at your school districts about what technology-rich options are available through your school district.
