New Tight End Tony Scheffler Impresses Lions
Slow and steady goes the progress for tight end Tony Scheffler.
Playing in his third offensive system in three years, Scheffler guessed that his comfort level with what the Lions are trying to do offensively was somewhere in the 90 percent range.
"It's different than what I am used to," said the five-year veteran from Chelsea and Western Michigan. "I haven't been in a system quite like this, but as a professional and a veteran in this league, you've got to find a way to adapt, learn new systems and move forward.
