Ford is widening its lead in an independent study of brands that car buyers are most likely to consider.
Ford, which passed perennial leader Toyota as the most-considered brand earlier this year, now has a wide lead in the study by Kelly Blue Books KBB.com web site. Ford is now on 29-percent of buyer’s shopping lists, compared to 22-percent for Toyota, with Chevy, Honda and Hyundai not far behind. Hyundai just managed to move into the top five, edging out Nissan.
In the past year, Toyota’s consideration has fallen eight percentage points, while Ford’s has risen.
