RTT USA, the Royal Oak-based subsidiary of a German design software firm RTT AG, and Bunkspeed, a Carlsbad, Calif.-based design software firm with a sales office in Royal Oak, announced a collaboration to combine development efforts.
The companies said the partnership will allow RTT and Bunkspeed to continue to shape how 3D technology will change the way companies work in the future, particularly online.
“Bunkspeed and RTT have each established unique positions within their market segments,” said RTT co-founder and director Ludwig A. Fuchs. “While RTT addresses process-oriented 3D visualization solutions for larger corporations, Bunkspeed has established an excellent offering for quick visualization tools at an attractive price point. From a strategic point of view, we see the collaboration with Bunkspeed as a great addition to our portfolio.”
Both brands will continue their work as separate entities; however, development efforts will be shared and leveraged across both companies.
“In the future, we are also aiming to provide seamless integration between the two core products Bunkspeed Shot and RTT DeltaGen,” Fuchs said.
Added Philip Lunn, CEO and founder of Bunkspeed: “Our close collaboration will further enhance the ease of use and innovative features of our respective products and spawn new product initiatives. We look forward to working with RTT’s sales network to reach new markets, bringing the power of Bunkspeed Shot and its intuitive user interface to a world-wide audience.”
RTT provides three-dimensional visualization software that highlights products informatively and enable them to be experienced in real time. The company assists customers throughout the whole life cycle of their products — from development, design and marketing to sales and distribution. The 3D data model from product development provides a working basis for all subsequent steps in the product life cycle — for example, in order to create rapid computer-generated, photo-realistic product illustrations for marketing or a 3D online product configurator for a product’s Web site. In so doing, RTT not only speeds up its customers’ decision-making and development processes but also opens up new avenues for them in sales and marketing. The company was founded in 1999 and has its head office in Munich. More at www.rtt.ag.
