Woman Accepts Plea Deal In Teen Sex Case
A 40-year-old Adrian Township woman accused of having sex with a 15-year-old boy during a New Year's Eve party at her home has agreed to a plea agreement.
Marcy Ann Rowe on Monday pleaded guilty in Lenawee County Circuit Court to a reduced felony count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm. Rowe avoids mandatory registration as a sex offender unless she violates parole or probation. The charge carries a maximum 10-year prison term.
Rowe's plea came on the eve of a second trial. Her first trial in May ended with a hung jury.
The boy previously testified he and Rowe were drinking and she forced herself on him.
Rowe remains free on bond but under house arrest. Sentencing has been tentatively set for Sept. 9, pending a psychological evaluation.
