Plea For Help To Find Man Missing Since May

A Detroit family is fearing the worst for a missing loved one.  Randolph Lovette, 35, was last seen at his Detroit home on Rutland Street near the Southfield Freeway on May 20.

Pamela Thompson is one of three aunts who stood with Crimestoppers Wednesday to appeal to the public for help. She believes someone murdered Lovette and covered it up.

"I just want to say to someone out there, it could be your family member. [He] was loved, and his family wants him back. We know that he's probably gone now, but we still want him back. We want closure," she said.

Thompson said they are looking for information about a 55-gallon drum that also went missing from the crime scene. She said a witness saw someone burning something inside that drum near the time Lovette went missing.

Thompson and other family members suspect that another relative was somehow involved.

Lovette was the father of three, a veteran and a student at Western Michigan University.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-800 SPEAK UP.  A $2,500 reward is being offered.
