Perrigo Cleared By FDA For New Infant Fomula
Allegan-based Perrigo Co. (Nasdaq: PRGO) announced it received United States Food and Drug Administration clearance to manufacture infant formula liquid concentrate and ready-to-use products through its partner Kerry Proteins and Nutritionals located in Sainte Claire, Quebec.
Perrigo received clearance to market the following new products:
* Milk-Based Infant Formula with ARA and DHA, Concentrate in a 13-ounce multilayer high-barrier polypropylene bottle
* Milk-Based Infant Formula with ARA and DHA, Ready-to-Use Infant Formula in an eight-ounce multilayer high-barrier polypropylene bottle
* Milk-Based Organic Infant Formula with ARA/DHA, Liquid Ready-to-Feed Infant Formula in an eight-ounce multilayer high-barrier polypropylene bottle
"We are excited to receive FDA clearance on these new liquid concentrate and ready-to-use products and to expand our portfolio of non-powder infant formula products," said Perrigo chairman and CEO Joseph C. Papa. "This is the first launch of new products since acquiring our infant nutrition business and we look forward to further new product introductions."
