Search Resumes For Man Missing In Detroit River
Divers Saturday morning resumed their search for a man who is missing in the Detroit River near Grosse Ile.
Members of the Downriver Mutual Aid Dive Team are searching the waters on the east side of Grosse Ile between the island and Stony Island.
The search for the 49-year-old man started Friday afternoon after the boat he was on capsized. His 25-year-old stepson and a 17-year-old friend also were on the boat but swam to shore.
The U.S. Coast Guard and Canadian Coast Guard assisted in the search until late Friday night. The U.S. Coast Guard has a boat involved in the search Saturday.
