Nighttime Road Work On I-75, Telegraph

Traffic alert for people who use I-75 and Telegraph Road in Oakland County.

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) says crews will reduce southbound I-75 to a single lane from Joslyn to Square Lake roads, beginning at 8 p.m. Monday. Crews will be resurfacing the freeway. The work is expected to end by 5 a.m. so the morning drive shouldn't be affected.

The work is scheduled for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday nights this week. All lanes will be open over the holiday weekend, according to MDOT.

On southbound Telegraph, drivers will be taken down to one lane starting at 7 p.m. each night Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Additional lanes will reopen by 5 a.m.

The paving work will run from Long Lake to Maple roads.

Tuesday, eastbound M-59 will be reduced to a single lane between Crooks and Ryan roads between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to put in a final phase of a traffic shift. After Tuesday, all traffic will be using the westbound side of the roadway until early Nov.
