Cat in the Hat – Teaches Science

Dr. Seuss’s Cat in the Hat is back. While parents will remember the cat as the mischievous character who helped teach them reading and phonics, a new generation of kids will get to see Dr. Seuss in a whole new light.

In a new PBS series and website, Dr. Seuss and the cat will be teaching kids about science, focusing on the curiosity that all kids have. Topics will include trees, sea creatures, and other features of the natural world, all presented by the Cat in the Hat.

The series will start on television in the Fall of 2010, with a web component available at pbskids.org
