Caring For Your Lawn

We're not in a drought, but it's been a dry summer, and the hottest since 1966. How's your grass?

MSU Turf Expert Trey Rogers says if you have a big brown patch of grass in your yard, wait until it rains and then put down some fall fertilizer. And, this weekend may be the time to do it.

Rogers says get some fall fertilizer onto the turf. But, wait until it rains and the temperatures cool down. He says throw some seed out, too.

In the meantime, don't stress out about it. Turf experts say grass can hang on for a few months without water.
