Royal Oak-based King Coffee & Tea Services is introducing its self-serve espresso café kiosks in Michigan and Ohio.
The “Cimbali Self-Serve Espresso Café” modular kiosks house the LACimbali M1 Milk PS One-Step Super Automatic espresso machines.
Customers have the choice of artisan gourmet caffeinated or decaffeinated espressos, cappuccinos and lattes using coffee beans roasted in Michigan or imported from Italy. Servings range in price from between $1 and $3, depending on the application.
In the LACimbali self-serve espresso café kiosks, Italian Espresso Beans are ground fresh to order, one cup at a time, at the push of a button — just as it’s done at an Italian coffee bar. Milk is then automatically drawn from an on-board refrigerator by LACimbali’s Patented Milk Precision System, creating the perfect frothed or steamed milk for cappuccinos and lattes.
“The LACimbali self-serve espresso café kiosks are the wave of the future,” said Jim Spear, president of Royal Oak-based King Coffee & Tea Services. “The system was created to be used where customers serve themselves then pay at a register, or with the newest option, a credit/debit card reader. It’s a perfect application for universities, medical facilities, lounges, office break rooms, libraries, and bookstores, as well as many other business and foodservice environments.”
Prices for the new kiosks range between $10,000 and $35,000 depending on how they are equipped. At $1 per cup times 100 cups per day, a fully equipped kiosk can return more than $15,000 a year. Lease payments of $669 per month plus tax are available.
