Bright House Adds College Football Highlight Channel

Bright House Networks of Michigan has launched ESPN Goal Line, a new HD network that features unlimited live cut-ins and highlights from numerous top college football games each SAturday of the college football season.

The channel also features the latest commentary from ESPN analysts and experts, including ESPNews anchor Anish Shroff, who will serve as the primary host, and Rod Gilmore, who will be the main analyst.

Games featured on ESPN Goal Line will include those airing on ESPN's family of networks, as well as syndicated and locally-produced games from Football Bowl Subdivision conferences, capturing the best live action of the day.

"College football fans who subscribe to the Bright House Networks Sports Pack will have a whole new reason to cheer with the addition of ESPN Goal Line," said Robert McCann, President of Bright House Networks Detroit Division. "During the regular season, the HD highlights will include key moments from every Saturday of up to 20 NCAA football games."

For the 2010 season, the ESPN Goal Line programming will be weekends only, starting Saturdays at noon Eastern time until games are complete, around 11:30 p.m. Eastern time.

A similar service called Buzzer Beater is planned in time for college basketball season.

In Michigan Bright House serves Redford Township, Livonia, Novi, Farmington and Farmington Hills.
