A One-Man Protest, On The Roof Of A County Building

jobs unemployment A One Man Protest, On The Roof Of A County BuildingPeople are finally looking up to Bill Riney. That’s because he’s on the roof of the Washtenaw County Building in Ann Arbor.

He doesn’t want to draw attention to himself, but to the plight of high unemployment.

Riney thinks he’ll get positive response to what he’s doing.

He climbed to the roof Monday afternoon and doesn’t plan to come down for a few days.

He wants local and national attention to the seriousness of unemployment.

Riney says he’s prepared to stay up there for a few days. He has plenty of food and water, and plenty of his favorite music from Marvin Gaye.

I know how frustrated he feels. I am an entrepreneur who has been trying to launch a new business here and create first phase 126 jobs, and take a small bite of Michigans unemployment “Elephant”. No attention is given, unless your a solar, wind power, medical or other “Tech” venture. Michigan current policymakers do not want to be known for our true ability which is manufacture of “PRODUCTS”. Anything that will create jobs should be the focus.
