Scott Sizemore Back With Tigers, Unlikely To Play Much In Stretch
The Tigers announced Monday that infielder Scott Sizemore will be recalled from Triple-A Toledo today.
But Sizemore, the Opening Day second baseman, likely will have a hard time getting on the field.
Will Rhymes has played well at second base since he was called up in late July. Sizemore also can play third base, but Brandon Inge is entrenched there.
Sizemore, 25, has recovered from off-season ankle surgery, which hindered him earlier this season with the Tigers.
