One Arrest In Taylor Fatal Hit-And-Run

Taylor Police have arrested one person in connection with Tuesday's hit-and-run crash that killed a 20-year veteran of the city's auxiliary police force.

Taylor and Dearborn police went to the neighborhood of Penn and Westpoint, where the arrest was made.

54-year old Lt. Dan Kromer of Newport, died Tuesday night at Oakwood Hospital after he was hit by a car while standing on the
shoulder of westbound I-94 near Monroe, helping a stranded motorist.

Kromer was the second Taylor police officer that was killed in the past two months.

Michigan State Police from the Metro South Post are helping in the investigation.
