[photogallerylink id=26737 align=left]Shooting for the upcoming film Transformers 3 has commenced at Detroit’s old Packard Plant. Set up surrounding the dilapidated, abandoned buildings, passersby can see what appears to be derailed train, plane wreckage and some big guns.

We can assume the Transformers themselves will be added in, digitally, at a later date. The city was also prominently featured in the series’ first installment.
