Construction is “ramping up” on one busy freeway interchange starting today–literally.

Crews have shut down the ramp taking southbound I-75 traffic onto westbound M-8 the Davison Freeway. That’s a cut across to the Lodge Freeway for downtown traffic. That ramp will be closed for the next four weeks.

Traffic will be detoured onto McNichols westbound, Oakland Avenue southbound, to the westbound Davison. It’s all part of a big $17-million dollar road and bridge rebuild of the Davison Freeway between Conant Avenue and I-75.
