A Michigan woman stripped while in the back seat of a cab in Covington, Louisiana, and demanded the driver take her to her home state of Michigan. When he refused, she stole his vehicle.
Covington Police Capt. Jack West told The Times-Picayune that the driver picked up 29-year old Jennifer Gille, of St. Clair Shores, about 1 a.m. Sunday from a motel and was driven to a destination south of the city.
But, West said Gille refused to get out, took off her clothes and demanded the cabbie take her to Michigan.
The cabbie then drove to a police station for help. West said when the driver went inside the station, Gille got into the cab’s front seat and drove off.
Police later found the cab parked about a block away. Gille, who was still naked, was in the back seat.
Police booked Gille on charges of unauthorized use of a movable vehicle and obscenity.
She was released late Tuesday from the St. Tammany Parish jail on a $75 signature bond.
St. Clair Shores Police tell WWJ, they recognize the woman’s name, and are quite familiar with her. But they offered no further comment.
