Storms Leave Scattered Power Outages

There are some power outages throughout southeastern Michigan Thursday morning due to the storms that passed through the area overnight.

A DTE Energy outage map shows the largest outage is in the Ten Mile and Middlebelt roads area in Farmington Hills. But there are other scattered outages showing.

Crews are working to restore power.

The National Weather Service says there will be scattered thunderstorms moving across southeastern Michigan Thursday. The most severe storms could be south of I-94 where there is a possibility of large hail and wind gusts of 50 miles per hour.

Thursday: Cloudy and breezy with periods of rain and a thunderstorm in the morning; perhaps another shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon. High 72.

Thursday night: Some clearing with areas of fog late. Low 54.

Friday: Nice with sunshine and patchy clouds. High near 70.

Saturday: Times of clouds and sunshine; a shower possible in the afternoon. High 75.

Sunday: Partly sunny with a shower possible. High 72.

Monday: Mostly sunny and nice. High 69.
