A Macomb County man  is facing charges after his daughter was burned by a fire pit.

Police have charged 40-year-old Majid Al-Shara of Lenox Township with Second Degree Child Abuse,  after police say he threw an accelerate into a backyard fire, sparking a much bigger blaze.

His six-year-old daughter was severely burned.

Al-Shara, who was also injured in the fire, is being held on $10,000 bond.

He will return to court in October.
