Copper Thieves Caught
Oakland County cops are cracking down on copper thieves.
Police in Beverly Hills arrested two men following a traffic stop when they discovered copper piping in the rear seat of the car. The officers discovered a list of addresses, including two homes in Ferndale.
Police checked those vacant homes and found the copper plumbing had been cut out and removed from the houses.
The 22-year-old Andrew Vinnoy Davis and 22-year-old Jeremy Menifield, are facing two counts of breaking and entering.
Bond was set at $10,000 cash.
Each could face up to ten years in prison if convicted.
