Client Wins From September 23

Online Tech wins managed services work from medical records company: Ann Arbor-based Online Tech Inc. said Thursday that a fellow Ann Arbor company, AccuMedWeb LLC, is using Online Tech's managed servers and off-site disaster recovery capabilities for improved availability and increased HIPAA compliant security. AccuMedWeb's ePCR flagship software, eMedicReports, allows EMTs and paramedics to electronically record patient information. With customers dispatched all hours of the day, AccuMedWeb's applications must be always available with no downtime. According to John Masters, AccuMedWeb CIO, ePCR requires 100 percent availability from its data centers. By using Online Tech's fully managed VMware hosting, AccuMedWeb can take advantage of Online Tech's high availability power, network and server architecture which delivers a very high level of uptime. In addition, Online Tech delivers the required physical and network security required for HIPAA compliant hosting in their SAS 70 type II audited data center. Due to the nature of the data AccuMedWeb collects, they must be HIPAA compliant. Since moving to Online Tech's fully managed servers, AccuMedWeb was able to design an off-site IT disaster recovery system on a separate power grid from their primary production services. AccuMedWeb houses their production data in Mid-Michigan, with their IT Disaster Recovery site in Ann Arbor, Michigan. More at www.onlinetech.com or www.accumedweb.com.
