What To Do This Weekend

Fine dining, fall festivals and FREE museum admission top the what-to-do list this weekend in Metro Detroit.

Dine in Detroit during Detroit Restaurant Week! Enjoy a three-course meal with beverage, tax, and tip included for $28 at 18 of the city's best restaurants.  This is the perfect time to experience delicious cuisine without paying the usual prices, and maybe even find a new favorite dining spot in the D.

Spend a day at the Detroit Historical Museum this weekend! Until September 26 admission is free, so there's never been a better time to plan a trip. The museum is open 9:30 a.m to 3 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.

The museum features many exhibits about Detroit's storied past, including a new exhibit "WWJ Newsradio 950: 90 Years of Innovation" which shares the station's rich history through a variety of unique artifacts, photographs and, of course, audio and video. Join the Tigers for their final home game of the season! It's Fan Appreciation Weekend at Comerica Park as the Tigers take on the Twins, Friday and Saturday at 7:05 p.m., and Sunday at 1:05 p.m. Over 200 valuable prizes will be given to this weekend's fans! Celebrate the rich and unique heritage of the Rochester community at the 33rd Annual Rochester Area Heritage Festival! Located at Rochester College (Avon Road between Livernois & Rochester), the festival will run from September 25 - 26 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

The Festival has something for everyone and all ages. Experience the heritage - past, present, and future through music, exhibits, games, crafts, food. SweeTreaTime will be serving cupcakes, cookies, and popcorn, CMC will be cooking their Caseville Festival winning cheese burgers, and Team Concessions serving funnel cakes, subs, Greek Salad, Crab Cakes, and more.  Bring a lawn chair or a blanket to enjoy the music and the food court! The annual Clinton Fall Festival is a great weekend destination for the whole family, young and old! There are over 250 booths in the Arts and Crafts show, over 500 entries in the car show, a parade, and much more!
