Geothermal energy training coming: Local heating and cooling contractors, general contractors, displaced autoworkers, and others seeking knowledge or jobs at geothermal or municipal heating and cooling district projects, or those interested in how to put it in their home, can get certified training from the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association in Detroit. The first workshop will take place Oct. 11-13 at Wayne County Community College's geothermal lab in conjunction with Geo NetZero, a low-profit limited liability company. More at www.igshpa.okstate.edu or www.geonetzero.com.  WC3's Corporate College at the Eastern Campus, has joined with GNZ and others in a collaborative effort to attract the corporate community in a series of events. A dozen participants are already registered for this workshop and 20 seats are available, including corporate and municipal staffers. These events are open to the public.
