"Coop" Could Fly Into Rock Hall

It's been a long time since he was 18, but chances are Michigan native Alice Cooper felt like a teenager when he learned he's been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Born Vincent Furnier in Allen Park 62 years ago, Cooper grew up on Detroit's east side, but has resided in Arizona for many years.

The steller list of nominees includes Tom Waits, Bon Jovi, Beastie Boys, disco queen Donna Summer, Detroit favorites the J. Geils Band, rapper-actor LL Cool J, Neil Diamond, Scottish baladeer Donovan, blues legend Dr. John and Phil Spector protege Darlene Love.

Inductees will be announced in December with induction ceremonies at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland next March.
