GalaxE Expands Commitment At 1001 Woodward; Work, Hiring Increases

GalaxE.Solutions Inc., the New Jersey software and IT services provider, announced that it had signed an agreement to add a third floor and expanded total of 40,000 square feet for its downtown Detroit offices at 1001 Woodward Ave. in Campus Martius.

The announcement was made by Tim Bryan, chairman and CEO of GalaxE.Solutions and building owner Jim Pappas.

In May, GalaxE announced plans to occupy two floors and 28,000 square feet. Driven by new client contracts to develop health care IT work in Detroit, GalaxE's plans to hire 500 IT professionals over the next five years in the city is ahead of schedule, necessitating the need for more space.

Within the first four months of occupancy, 38 new employees have been brought on board with an additional 120 positions to be filled, putting GalaxE well ahead of its first year hiring targets.

"Our vision of Detroit as a hub for the creation of leading edge, custom IT solutions is resonating with our customers across the country," Bryan said. "Their interest in work being conducted in Campus Martius is validating our model of providing a viable alternative to sending work overseas."

As buildout on GalaxE's new space proceeds, high-profile building signage also is being coordinated. When completed, the signage will underscore GalaxE's prominent presence amid the downtown Detroit skyline.

With more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare, retail, and financial industries, GalaxE software allows the secure sharing of critical information across internal networks and over the Internet to improve client competitiveness, efficiency, and business results.

In addition to its corporate headquarters and primary delivery center in Somerset, N.J. and its Detroit office, GalaxE has additional offices and delivery centers in New York City, Toronto, Canada, and Bangalore and Hyderabad, India.
