New Community Centers To Open In Detroit

Detroit Mayor Dave Bing announced Wednesday that the city will now have three new community access centers replacing the old neighborhood city halls.

The centers will focus on public safety, education, and neighborhood organization.

"We wanted to make sure that we listen to the citizens of Detroit in terms of giving us info and feedback about what they want in their community," said, Mayor Bing.

Each community access center will provide a number of services including discounted bus cards for senior citizens and children, employment information, and free bus schedules.
