Airport Director Delbert Brown Resigns

airplane landing Airport Director Delbert Brown ResignsDetroit Mayor Dave Bing has accepted the resignation of Delbert Brown as director of Detroit City Airport.

The resignation came after a loud and argumentative hearing Wednesday in the Detroit City Council’s Budget, Finance and Audit committee.

Heated discussions focused on an audit by the city uditor General that shows gross financial mismanagement and questionable contracts at the airport.

Terrence King will oversee airport operations until a permanent director is found. King is an executive with the Bing Group.
