DSO, Musicians Remain At Odds

No talks have been scheduled yet in the Detroit Symphony Orchestra labor dispute.

The DSO is pushing for a 33-percent base pay cut for orchestra veterans. Musicians say they'll take a 22- percent cut -- but nothing more.

Meanwhile, a group calling themselves the Musicians of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra have scheduled an "October Concert Series."

This coming Sunday, they've got a concert at Temple Beth El in Bloomfield Hills. Grant Cooper will be conducting. The concert will also feature Robert Demaine on the Cello with the Musicians of the DSO.

Another concert is set for October 24 at Christ Church Cranbrook.
