Political Ad Attack Causes Stir

An ad attacking a Republican Attorney General candidate is raising big problems within the Democratic party. A link to the ad was sent out via email and attributed to state Democratic Party Chairman Mark Brewer.  It claims that Bill Schuette --when he was an appeals court judge--sided with ex-Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick in a whistleblower case involving a police officer.

Detroit political consultant Adolph Mongo blasts the ad, "It's an e-mail that claims Kwame Kilpatrick was given a free ride by the GOP candidate for attorney general, Bill Schuette, when he was a court of appeals judge."

Mongo told WWJ's Vickie Thomas, "It's unbelievable that Mark Brewer has injected Kwame Kilpatrick into this race, there is no way that we are going to let Kwame Kilpatrick become the new Willie Horton in this campaign."

WWJ has contacted Brewer's office for comment.
