Local Actors Needed

A Hallmark channel TV movie that retells the story of the Frog Princess will begin shooting in Detroit and they’re looking for local actors.

“I need 16 speaking roles that I’m casting here locally from Michigan actors,” said John Jackson, the casting director for “Smooch.”

Jackson says the parts range from a five-year-old boy to a woman in her seventies.

“There’s one in particular that I’m having trouble finding. I’m hoping that maybe she’ll hear us, and get a hold of us. I need a British female in her 50’s to play the role of the Duchess,” said Jackson.

Jackson says the woman has to have an authentic British accent.

I am definitely interested in the Duchess role. I am British born & bred. Immigrated to US in 1968: still have a strong British Accent. I will send a photo & Phone # this evening. I trained as a Nurse in Westminster, London in the 60’s & have been an English Nanny to several families in the Detroit area – great references!
