Accused Boss Attacker Due In Court

A 51-year-old Fraser man accused of striking his boss in the head with a wooden cement rake because he was upset about his job is due in court.

Lewis Paris was to appear Thursday in Ferndale district court. He faces felonious assault charges, and remains free on personal bond.

Ferndale police said on Aug. 2 both Michigan Outdoor Services employees were working in the Detroit suburb when the assault happened.

Sgt. Patrick Jones told The Macomb Daily of Mount Clemens that Paris began arguing with the 51-year-old victim about having to work that day. He said pushing and showing resulted and when the victim turned to leave, Paris struck him in the back of the head with a rake.

The victim needed 41 stitches to close a head wound and had to wear a neck brace.
