Lions coach Jim Schwartz played coy about his starting quarterback Wednesday, but Giants defensive end Justin Tuck wasn’t buying.

“We’ve been preparing for Shaun Hill,” Tuck said in a conference call. “We expect to see him solely.”
Schwartz did not name Hill his starter Wednesday, as he has done every week since Matthew Stafford sprained his throwing shoulder in Week 1.
Stafford has not practiced since the injury, though he did throw lightly with backup QB Drew Stanton on Wednesday.

On one of the forums I saw a reply from a Lions fan that said:
Why not hold Stafford out until after the Jets game? If he is not 100% healthy the chances are you might lose him for the rest of the season. Let Shaun Hill take the punishment from the Jets defense. After watching Minn. play them, he may be right.
